The new Panda has seen this vehicle grew up from its spotty teen years, and has come of age, to be one of the best all rounders on the market today, boasting improvements such as a roomier cabin and more equipment than its predecessor.
Thanks to this cars 4×4 all weather ability, combined with nimbleness and and satisfying efficiency this vehicle definitely appeals to the every day town commuter to the avid 4×4 enthusiast. Thanks to this vehicles 85bhp engine, combined with a 6 speed gearbox, this vehicle is able to to hit the 0-62 mph mark in just over 12 seconds, and hit a top speed of 104 mph, that may not pin you back to your seat, but it certainly is more than enough on our roads. You are also able to achieve around 58mpg depending on how you choose to drive this vehicle.
The equipment you get as standard is also quite impressive, this car features an electric differential locking device, hill hold capability which is a huge bonus for any car to have, alloy wheels, Bluetooth and controls on the steering wheel, start and stop, central locking plus much more make this vehicle very appealing and with a low insurance bracket, decent running costs compared to its rivals, and costing just over £15,000 you really can’t go far wrong, if you are looking for a grown up, yet cheerful every day 4×4. It’s not going to be something that you’re ploughing around off roading in any time soon, but despite the amount of stick the Panda gets from some, we think that this car strikes a nice, gentle balance between 4×4 passion and sensible everyday drive ability. Any owners of the new Panda, let us know what you think, and if you’ve had the guts to take it off the road, be sure to send us some pictures and we will post them for you!
So, the weekend saw the return of the action packed, high octane car show that we all love, Top Gear. The season kicked off with a cracker, the guys set out to prove that old classic super mini’s are better than the current crop of hot hatches that have evolved from the 80’s and 90’s models.
The gang didn’t take long to get to their old tricks, of blowing stuff up and mocking each other from start to finish. The season looks a cracker, and here at Milner Off Road we are hoping to see some mighty 4×4 action in the series, whether it be a challenge across the Dakar or a factual review from Jeremy Clarkson.
One of the new 4×4’s we would really love to see on the new series of Top Gear, is the 2014 Toyota Hilux, we have seen just what these vehicles are capable of on this show, everything from a building collapsing all the way to reaching the North Pole, so we think the new model will definitely be worth a spot on Top Gear to see if the new model has improved, and with it being called “Invincible” lets hope so.
We are also hoping to see the 2014 Skoda Yeti, being reviewed by one of the hosts. There was no doubt that the last 4×4 Yeti got a good review on the Show and we are hoping it will be the same story with this model.
And of course we hope that we are right, when we think we spotted the monster that is the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6×6 featured on the show, now we don’t specialise in 6×6 vehicles here at Milner Off Road just yet, but there is no telling to what the gang will to do with this vehicle, but one thing we do know is, it will definitely be entertaining for us all to watch, as at the end of the day, we all like to get down and dirty with a bit of off roading fun!
We’ve been passionate about 4×4 vehicles for many years, this passion lead us on to start Milner Off Road in the first place, and then Milner Off Road Racing a few years later….
So we thought it was only right we started publishing news and info relating to the products we sell, the vehicles we sell them for and everything else that’s related to off roading and off road racing.
