Tyre checks
As one of the most important parts of your vehicle, especially for off-roading, you should take some time to check your tyres over. Firstly, that means ensuring they’re at the right pressure and that the tread isn’t worn. You can then go one step further and get them balanced and aligned if that hasn't been carried out in a while. This will keep you safe on the road and improve your handling.
Finally, you may want to consider a change of tyres. There are two reasons for this: the first could be due to the age of your tyres generally, but it might also be necessary if you’ve got regular road tyres and need something better suited to rugged conditions. Oil change
A pretty standard part of your spring maintenance should be to carry out an oil change. It’s vital for all vehicles, but especially 4x4s where you’re relying on complex internal components to operate smoothly in more testing conditions. The older your 4x4 is, the more regularly you’ll want to change your oil based on mileage, but since you’re giving the whole vehicle a check-up, it’s worth adding to the list so you’re fully prepared for your next adventure.
