‘Rip-Off’ Range Rover To Sell For 14K!

The LandWind X7 has to be one of the most talked about vehicles to be revealed at the Guangzhou Motor Show, and we can only think back to that infamous Top Gear episode when Jeremy Clarkson and James May tested all of the cheap knock off’s of well known vehicles.

But, can you really complain when the LandWind will be on sale for just £14,000, much cheaper than the £40,000+ Range Rover Evoque. As you can see from the images below, the X7 strikes a remarkably strong resemblance to the superb Range Rover Evoque, which will surely make it a steal to all those that want an Evoque but simply can’t afford their price tag.

The X7 has decent quality leather seats, and appears to have been made mostly out of plastic, not bad for saving weight I guess. However, despite the strong appearance, the LandWind scored a brilliantly poor zero when it took on the EURO NCAP safety rating test.

The engine in this 4×4 is a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine, delivering around 188bhp. This vehicle can either come with a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic.

As you can imagine, Land Rover are not happy about their car being took for a ride, and Dr Ralf Speth, chief executive of Land Rover has said he will be complaining to Chinese officials over the X7.

We want your opinion on this, would you buy one over the Evoque? Have your say on our social profiles, which can be seen below.
